Working on a job, a construction site or a project in Switzerland and need somewhere to stay – fast? Our rooms for workers (known in Switzerland as Monteurzimmer) are furnished, clean and ready to move in, without hotel prices and without a complicated application.
Apartment24 rents furnished single rooms in shared flats with a shared kitchen and bathroom. Every room is lockable and comes with a bed and mattress from a Swiss brand manufacturer, fresh bed linen, a wardrobe, a desk, a chair, an LCD TV and Wi-Fi. Utilities, heating, electricity and water are already included in the rent.
For fitters, electricians, installers, construction workers, service technicians and anyone working away from home for a few weeks or months, a room like this is the most practical solution: you have your own private space after work, you can cook for yourself, and you pay a fixed monthly rent instead of expensive nightly rates. The minimum rental period is one month; after that you can give 14 or 30 days notice. All you need is a valid ID – no debt collection extract and no proof of salary.

What is a Monteurzimmer?
Monteurzimmer is the Swiss and German term for furnished accommodation for people working away from home for a limited time – such as fitters, tradespeople, construction workers or service technicians. At Apartment24 you rent your own lockable room and share the kitchen and bathroom with a few other tenants.
Can I rent a room for just one week?
No, the minimum rental period is one month. Our rooms are therefore ideal for assignments of about four weeks or longer. After that you can give 14 or 30 days notice, so you stay flexible if the job is extended or ends early.
What is included in the rent?
Utilities, heating, electricity, water and Wi-Fi are included. The room comes with a bed, mattress, bed linen, wardrobe, bedside table, desk, chair, shelf and LCD TV. Dishes and cooking utensils are not included. The Serafe fee for radio and TV is charged separately.
How quickly can I move in?
As soon as the rental contract is signed and the first month rent and the deposit are paid – for available rooms often on the same day. The fastest way is the application form or WhatsApp.
Which documents do I need?
Only a valid ID. We do not ask for a debt collection register extract or proof of salary or employment. This also applies to people coming to Switzerland from abroad for an assignment.
Is there parking for company vehicles?
Some properties have outdoor or underground parking spaces. These are usually not included in the monthly rent and can be rented separately, subject to availability. Just ask us when you send your request.
Can I register as a weekly resident?
For many of our rooms, registration as a weekly resident (Wochenaufenthalter) is possible – ideal if you work at the site during the week and keep your main residence elsewhere. The listing or our team will tell you whether this applies to a specific property.
What are the house rules?
Smoking, pets and drugs are not allowed in our properties, and the usual quiet hours at night apply. This keeps living together pleasant for everyone – even when someone has to leave early for the site.
