Everything you need to know about your new room

You will find the same living concept at all our locations. Over 15 years, we have optimized everything to ensure you have a pleasant stay and feel at home. When you feel comfortable, we have achieved our goal. So you know how the Apartment24 living concept works, we explain everything in detail here.

Kitchen

You share the modern and spacious kitchen with your housemates. There is space in the refrigerator for your groceries. An oven and a microwave are also available. The storage areas in the kitchen cabinets and refrigerator are assigned to each room. You have your own cabinets and storage space where you can keep all your things.

Bathroom

You share the modern bathroom with your housemates. We place great importance on cleanliness and order. For this reason, the kitchen and bathroom are cleaned thoroughly by us on a regular basis. We would be happy to show you how important cleanliness is to us during a viewing. In the bathroom, provided there is enough storage space, you have your own shelves where you can store your toiletries. Please note that we explicitly require all housemates to leave the bathroom clean and tidy after use. If we receive complaints, we will first seek a conversation. If this does not help, we would have to issue a termination notice. Cleanliness and hygiene are an absolute must!

Living Together

This is not a typical shared apartment. You share the bathroom and kitchen with friendly and respectful housemates. There is no living room. Tenants mostly use the apartment for sleeping and are out during the day. People greet each other politely, but do not really live together. We emphasize compliance with quiet hours and hygiene standards. We want everyone to feel comfortable. Our tenants are looking for affordable yet well-maintained accommodation.

Laundry

Convenient: You can do your laundry in every one of our rental properties. In most cases, it's even free. Just ask during the viewing about laundry times and whether there are any costs. Most properties also have a dryer. If you're new to Switzerland: It's completely normal here for several apartments to share a laundry room. Nina Fuchs, our customer service representative, will be happy to show you how everything works on site.

Waste disposal

You'll find the waste containers usually near the building entrance on the street. In Switzerland, you need special fee-paid garbage bags – you can get them at any grocery store at the checkout. A standard bag holds 35 liters. Tip: Ask your housemates if they want to split the costs. That way it's cheaper for everyone.

Cleanliness

To make sure everyone feels comfortable, we clean the common areas regularly – that's already included in the rent. We just ask you to leave the rooms the way you'd like to find them. Wipe down the sink quickly, dispose of empty bottles, don't leave spoiled food lying around. Makes sense, right? Because we communicate this clearly from the start, living together usually works out really well. Many former tenants have thanked us for exactly that.

Apartment

For safety reasons, clothes and shoes may only be stored outside your room in designated cabinets. Don't worry: In most apartments, we have cabinets in the entrance area where you can store your shoes, coats, and jackets. During the viewing, we'll be happy to show you where these are located.
