When can I move in?
Either the landlord has left the key for you in a safe box, or they will meet you on-site to hand over the property personally. If the key is in a safe box, you can move in at any time.
Which rooms do I share?
The kitchen is shared. In the kitchen, you will find cabinets and storage areas labeled with your room number. The refrigerator shelves are also numbered so that everyone has their own space. You will also share the bathroom and shower. Where possible, there are labeled storage areas there as well.
What is the difference between a business apartment and a furnished room?
Business apartments are about three to four times more expensive than furnished rooms. However, a business apartment includes a private kitchen and bathroom.
How do I dispose of my waste?
Depending on the municipality, you need to buy special garbage bags or waste stickers. It’s best to ask your roommates or the cashier at the local grocery store — usually, you can buy them directly there. Be careful: fines for incorrect waste disposal in Switzerland are very high and can easily exceed CHF 1,000.
Is there any kitchenware available?
No, you need to bring your own pots, plates, and cutlery. However, you can ask your roommates if they would like to share kitchen utensils or dishes — this usually works very well.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
The deposit amounts to one month’s rent. Payment in installments is unfortunately not possible. Please note that the full deposit must be paid before you receive the keys.
Do I have good chances when applying?
If you respond to one of our listings, arrange a viewing as soon as possible — either by video or in person. Then submit your online application promptly. This gives you the best chance of getting the property.
Is the room clean?
Cleanliness is our top priority. Before every move-in, your room is thoroughly cleaned. You will receive a fresh duvet, pillow, and clean mattress covers and protectors. All textiles are either new or professionally cleaned. You can be sure your room will be in perfectly clean condition upon move-in.
Who are my roommates?
That can vary. We personally interview every tenant before move-in to ensure they fit well into the shared apartment. We make sure only reliable and quiet individuals live with us. This is not a typical shared flat — everyone leads their own life and is not here primarily to make new friends. People greet each other politely but live largely independently.

How long can I stay here?
